How to Book a Holiday

  1. From your Home page or My Details screen, select Absence.

  2. In the Holiday section, select Request.

  3. On the Request screen, complete your holiday details. You must complete any fields marked with a red asterisk * below (and a red dot in the system):

    • *Date From - Enter the start date of the holiday

    • *Date To - Enter the end date of the holiday

    • *Absence Type- Select the absence type (for example, Holiday) from the dropdown

    • *Absence Reason Select the absence reason (for example, Annual Leave) from the dropdown

    • Comments Type any additional information about the holiday request

    • Include Saturday Select this if you usually work on Saturdays and the holiday includes a Saturday

    • Include Sunday Select this if you usually work on Sundays and the holiday includes a Sunday

    • Half Day Start Select this if you’re booking the morning as a half-day holiday

    • Half Day End Select this if you’re booking the afternoon as a half-day holiday

    • Approver The name of the person who needs to approve the request (usually your line manager) is displayed here

    • Send To The email address of the person who needs to approve the holiday request (usually your line manager) is displayed here

  4. Select Send to send your request to the Approver. A confirmation message is displayed.

  5. The request shows on your Home page and on Absence as Pending.

  6. To cancel the holiday request, or re-request it as a reminder to the approver, select the pending entry in the list, and then use the appropriate option at the bottom of the Absence screen.

  7. When your request is approved or declined, you’ll receive an email notification.
