Set Rights
When an employee logs in to Staffology HR, the system checks their permissions, or Set Rights, to determine access. Only a System Administrator can see an employee's Set Rights.
View Set Rights
-
As the system administrator, go to the Directory, open the employee's record, and select the Personal tab.
-
Select Actions then select Set Rights. The Set Rights form shows the main rights for the user.
-
On all packages except Foundation, select Advanced to update Self Set Rights, Team Set Rights and Secondary Set Rights. These are the permissions that you can set for an employee for access to their own tabs and to give them permission over other employees.
The default values for New Starters can be changed by HR Support.
-
To check all employees Set Rights, go to System Tools > Exports & Reports > Other > Employee Security Advanced/Full.
Self Set Rights
These are the permissions that the employee will have over their own tabs. If they don't have View access, the tab is not displayed. This is useful to restrict viewing of specific areas of the system that are not in use, or need to be temporarily hidden while updates are made.
Team Set Rights
Determines what functions a Line Manager can perform in relation to their Team’s screens.
Secondary Set Rights
Any additional rights wider than employee and direct reports.
